The SMART course (Systematic Management of Acutely unwell patients from Recognition to Treatment) is a dynamic and intensive 3-day, in-person training program tailored specifically to enhance acute and on-call skills for junior doctors working in various acute care settings including A&E, 24-hours clinics, acute medical wards, acute surgical wards, HDUs, and post op wards. The course provides a generic mind-map for a structured clinical approach (The SMART algorithm) to guide the clinical decision-making process while providing a safe practice environment.
